VFX Introduction Series - Free tutorials for After Effects, Cinema 4D & Photoshop.
In this tutorial series we will gradually implement visual effects in live action footage. We start at the very beginning by defining VFX. Followed by understanding a camera, if you record for VFX there are a number of aspects that you want to take into account. By making the right choices at an early stage, the end result will not only look better, the process also goes a lot faster. Once the live action footage is in order, we have a good foundation to build on. After we have virtually imitated the camera movement, we can start manipulating the scene. Because this is an introduction series we will mainly focus on merging all kinds of separately made layers. How exactly this works will be discussed in detail in this series. Once you know how different layers come together and react to each other, you can delve into the individual development process. This method may seem to be in reverse order, but you will notice that this top-down approach ensures that everything falls into place without loose ends. Don't be put off by the amount of information, we will discuss everything quietly and of course you can always pause or review the videos. We will try to use many fascinating examples from well-known films and series to keep it interesting. Good luck!
